This week, we opened our doors to eight curious students as part of “SCHAU REIN! – Saxony's Week of Open Companies.” They took a close look at how our teams design and assemble advanced vacuum coating equipment for high-end applications – and discovered the crucial role of technical careers like Mechatronics, Electronics, and Industrial Business in the industry. “SCHAU REIN!” gives young talents from 7th grade onwards a chance to experience real-world professions directly on-site. A big shout-out to our team for making this possible – especially to our team members, Lukas Rosenauer and Christian Hofmann, from the Electrical Assembly department, who showed how technology and teamwork come together at FHR. ⚛️ Quantum Tech: Sputtering System Delivered to AMO GmbH   We recently delivered an #FHRStar system to AMO. This advanced deposition tool will contribute to the fabrication of AlN waveguides, an essential component in the BMBF-funded #ATIQ project— the initiative endeavors to advance #QuantumComputing by developing innovative chip-based ion-trap architectures. 🔬   This approach leverages high-precision #VacuumCoatingTechnology, paving the way for more efficient and effective quantum solutions. AMO's latest research on AlN waveguides has been published in Optics Express, providing valuable insights into this emerging field.
