𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗞𝗿𝗲𝘁𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗻 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗛𝗘𝗡𝗦𝗢𝗟𝗗𝗧 𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗨𝗹𝗺 Today, Baden-Württemberg’s Minister President Winfried Kretschmann visited our site in Ulm, where we develop and produce key technologies for the German Armed Forces, NATO, and EU partners. CEO Oliver Dörre highlighted the importance of cooperation with the state government to expand production capacities and meet the growing demand for high-performance defence systems. Minister President Kretschmann underlined the key role of Baden-Württemberg’s defence industry in ensuring peace, freedom, and technological sovereignty in Europe. During the visit, HENSOLDT presented the series production of air defence #radars that help protect Ukraine and support the #European #Skyshield initiative. The Minister President also gained insights into cutting-edge reconnaissance technologies from the #Pegasus project and HENSOLDT’s systems for the #Eurofighter combat aircraft. Every train journey depends on something we often take for granted: safe and reliable braking   On July 16–17, the UIC Working Group on Railway Braking (SET7) met in Berlin, kindly hosted by DB Systemtechnik GmbH. Experts from UIC member companies across Europe and beyond came together with a shared mission: to make rail transport even safer, more efficient, and more interoperable.   This session was particularly special: it not only marked the 250th meeting of the Braking Group but also celebrated its 100th anniversary (1925–2025), a century of continuous contribution to railway safety and innovation.   Over two days of intense and constructive discussions, the group worked on real technical challenges, from friction behaviour and brake performance to certification processes and inter-laboratory testing. In total, around fifty certificates were reviewed and updated, a tangible sign of the group’s impact on the daily operations of railways worldwide.   But beyond the figures and the technical details, what stood out was the spirit of collaboration.
