Taiwan Semiconductor Delegation in Saxony | Wrapping Up a Deep-Dive Exchange 🏙️As the visit comes to a close, the Taiwan semiconductor delegation’s exchange in Saxony reached its key phase. Through site visits, we gained first-hand insights into the industrial landscape of Dresden and Chemnitz 🔍 📝An investment briefing by Saxony Trade & Invest Corp. and the City of Dresden covered topics from company setup and relocation to urban development, followed by a tour of local industrial parks.   🏭At GlobalFoundries, the delegation explored process strategies and discussed future collaboration opportunities, especially in supply chain alignment and workforce development. 🏗️Special thanks to Dr. Christian Koitzsch, President of ESMC, for guiding us through the construction site and sharing future plans of the European semiconductor project 📈. We also visited key players in the local semiconductor supply chain, including SEMPA SYSTEMS, which specializes in high-purity chemical and gas supply systems, and Fäth GmbH, focused on chemical modules and process system integration—both showing strong potential for collaboration with Taiwanese partners 🤝🔧. Our final stop in Chemnitz included the Makers United networking event and a warm welcome from the Mayor. As the European Capital of Culture 2025, Chemnitz is actively bridging innovation, culture, and industry 🌍. Big thanks to all our partners. 🤝 Strengthening German-Taiwanese Dialogue at the Ministry of Economic Affairs   Last Thursday, our Chief Representative Dr. Eva Langerbeck was welcomed by Deputy Minister Cynthia Kiang at the Ministry of Economic Affairs for a productive exchange on key economic and industrial topics. With a packed and productive first two days, we sincerely thank all partners for their warm participation and support!   🔹Day 1｜Connecting with local Government and Resource We extend our gratitude to Dr. Sebastian Lindner, Saxon State Ministry for Economic Affairs with the warm welcome and in-depth briefing on the semiconductor landscape and development. 🤝 Visit to the Legislative Yuan: From Semiconductors to Cultural Exchange – Forging a New Chapter of Cooperation Dr. Eva Langerbeck, Chief Representative and Executive Director of the German Trade Office Taipei, visited Legislative Yuan last week. She was warmly received by President Han Kuo-yu and held productive discussions with legislators from all three major parties: Ms. Weng Hsiao-ling, Ms. Chen Pei-yu, and Ms. Mai Yu-chen.   During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on a wide range of topics, including Taiwan-Germany cooperation in semiconductors, AI applications, medical technology, aerospace development, and higher education. They also emphasized the importance of talent cultivation and industrial linkages in strengthening bilateral collaboration. Dr. Langerbeck introduced the Semiconductor Talent Incubation Program Taiwan-Germany (STIPT) and shared key challenges faced by German companies in Taiwan—such as energy transition, tariffs, regulatory frameworks, and cross-strait relations—highlighting the need to optimize the investment environment through firsthand business insights.   We sincerely thank President Han and the legislators for their warm hospitality and constructive input—especially on issues such as support for Taiwanese engineers in Dresden, historical education, and energy transition.
