The technology we developed together with referees Nicolas Winter and Patrick Kessel could be on the verge of becoming standard equipment for referees worldwide! 'The RefCam is a prime example of the innovative strength that characterizes Riedel Communications. It is small, lightweight and can be seamlessly integrated into a referee's headset,' said founder and CEO Thomas Riedel. Following successful first deployments in the Bundesliga, Premier League and Serie A, the technology is now showcasing its potential in Austria. The RefCam will not only be used for training and analysis purposes, but can also revolutionize the spectator experience by providing exciting insights from a first-person perspective. How useful is being an expert in #computervision when watching the Olympics! For example, in order to understand that the winner and record holder of the Olympic pole vault at the Olympic Games #Paris2024 with a result of 6 meters 25 cm, 🏅Armand Duplantis jumped even higher by 2 centimeters than this record.

In the thrilling arena of the global education landscape, different styles and strategies compete fiercely for the top position, much like the twists and turns of a rollercoaster. Consider the story of one of the most compelling wrestlers of our time. At the Paris Games, a cruel twist seemed to undermine their efforts. Yet, despite this setback, they emerged as a true champion to people everywhere, embodying resilience and dedication. In a similar vein, there is a silver lining for two-and-a-half years after the Beijing Winter Olympics. On a momentous Wednesday in Paris, American and Japanese figure skaters finally received their reallocated gold and silver medals. This ceremony marked the end of a Russian doping saga that had overshadowed their original triumphs, restoring their rightful places on the podium.These stories remind us that in both education and sports, perseverance and integrity can lead to ultimate success. Just as in the world of sports, where triumphs and torment mark the careers of athletes, education and technology integration showcase distinct approaches to becoming true powerhouses. By embracing diverse educational strategies and integrating technology effectively, we can rise to the top and inspire future generations, just as these athletes have done in their respective fields. #olympics2024

I hardly believe that, nowadays, a global brand such as Adidas with the history they have, exercising in the sport's industry and with all we know about the importance for a brand to carry values - is not taking the opportunity to support their athletes against the war in Ukraine. Worst, they chose to mute their engagement (I double checked and have not seen any images of Elina Svitolina with the black ribbon). We have seen similar situations in le Tour de France, with athletes being clearly uncomfortable sharing their opinions about far-right political parties leading recent French elections. You may say that a sport athlete has no political role to play, but I disagree. Sport is all about values, and if you are asked, if you are given the opportunity to speak-up, then you have to. I imagine the pressure athletes can get from their sponsors but as a consumer and a sport's fan, I will always encourage athletes who speak-up, I will always value brands who support them. Nike made really brave decisions in the past, they earned my total respect doing that. Come on adidas, you worth better than that.

Today, Ukrainian tennis player Elina Svitolina reached the quarterfinals of Wimbledon 2024. During the interview, she could not hold back her tears because of the russian shelling of Okhmatdyt Children's Hospital. Elina wore a black ribbon. But her sponsors Adidas and Waterdrop decided not to remind their Instagram followers of the war in Ukraine and only posted the photos of Elina without the ribbon. For many, war is just an inconvenience.

In 1903, a Bayer employee and 170 colleagues asked the company for money to start a sports club. The next year, they founded the club "Turn- und Spielverein Bayer 04 Leverkusen." In 1979 the Bayer Leverkusen team debuted in the Bundesliga, Germany's top division. A few days ago the team won its first championship! 😍 That's right: the team that just won the German football championship, and ended Bayern Munich's run of 11 consecutive titles, was founded by a group of company employees exactly 100 years ago. Other famous 'work teams' are PSV Eindhoven (a club founded in 1913 by employees of Philips) and Wolfsburg (a club founded in 1945 by employees of Volkswagen). Teamwork is essential for any company's success. Yet, only a few companies succeed with their Work Teams— Bayer is one such example.
