🎉 Big congratulations to Reinhausen Taiwan Limited on graduating from GTO last week!   We started supporting Reinhausen Taiwan back in 2023 by helping establish their local entity and later welcomed them into our shared office space in 2024. This year, they’ve successfully found and moved into their own office building — what a fruitful and wonderful journey together! We truly enjoyed having the Reinhausen team with us and will miss them around the office. Looking Back on an Inspiring Week with NRW.Global Business 🌏 As the NRW delegation’s journey in Taiwan comes to an end, we look back on a week full of insightful exchanges, inspiring meetings and promising connections. We were proud to support NRW.Global Business in organizing this exciting visit, which focused on fostering collaboration in media content and digital technologies between North Rhine-Westphalia and Taiwan. Throughout the program, the delegation engaged in site visits and high-level meetings with key players from Taiwan’s innovation and media landscape, including HTC, Taiwan Creative Content Agency (TAICCA), TVBS, TaiwanPlus and various government bodies such as MODA and NCC. The highlight of the week was the Business & Technology Forum, which brought together industry leaders and officials to discuss digital transformation, AI-driven content and future collaboration potential. 🎬 NRW – Taiwan Business & Technology Forum Highlights 🎯 On March 26, the Business & Technology Forum “Digital Technologies & Media Content” - organized by NRW.Global Business and supported by our office - brought together key players from North Rhine-Westphalia and Taiwan’s media and tech industries.   📍 Held in Taipei, the forum was opened by Susanne Baumann, NRW.Global Business GmbH and Ming-Huei Tung, Chief Secretary, Administration for Digital Industries, Ministry of Digital Affairs (MODA). Welcoming German Scholarship Holders 🇩🇪🤝 Yesterday, we had the pleasure of welcoming a group of German scholarship holders from the German Academic Scholarship Foundation (Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes) who are currently studying in East Asia. As part of a self-organized interdisciplinary excursion to Taiwan, the group is exploring the island’s economy, society, and geopolitical context in East Asia. During their visit, our colleagues Linda Blechert and Nico Cron provided insights into our office’s work and the involvement of German businesses in Taiwan, helping the group gain a deeper understanding of German-Taiwanese economic relations. 👋Meet our new DEinternational Taiwan Ltd. Market Entry Service Intern, M.S. Max Chuang! With a strong academic background in diplomacy and international law, Max is about to graduate from National Chengchi University. His passion for international relations led him to Germany, where he spent his year abroad studying political science at the University of Heidelberg as a Baden-Württemberg Scholarship recipient and further improving his German language skills. Fascinated by Taiwan-Germany economic and diplomatic relations, Max sees great potential in the dynamic trade, technology, and sustainability collaborations between the two economies. Through this internship, he aims to gain hands-on experience in market expansion and contribute to strengthening these important ties. A language enthusiast, Max speaks Chinese, English, German, and French and has recently started learning Polish. His dedication to languages is evident, he even passed the Goethe-Zertifikat C2 last year! Beyond academics, Max is a passionate violinist. He has served as a first violinist in the orchestra in Heidelberg, performed at festivals across Germany, Poland, and Austria and even organized salon concerts. When he’s not working, you’ll likely find him practicing his violin. 🎻 Over the next few months, Max will assist with market expansion projects, research, and translations between Chinese, English, and German, further supporting bilateral cooperation between Taiwan and Germany. Successful NRW – Taiwan Investment Networking Dinner 🌍   On March 18, 2025, NRW.Global Business hosted the Invest in NRW Networking Dinner, supported by the German Trade Office Taipei, bringing together Taiwanese companies and investment experts for an insightful evening on business expansion opportunities in Germany’s largest economic region.   Susanne Baumann, Project Manager for Business Development Taiwan at NRW.Global Business, opened the evening by highlighting North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW) as a key investment destination, emphasizing its innovation-driven economy, strong talent pool, and prime location in Europe. Expert contributions from 📕 Pascal Thien-Ah-Koon (Ecovis) and Chiang Song Wei (Katherine Harniess) (Synology) further enriched the discussion by sharing practical experiences and investment strategies.   From our side, Linda Blechert welcomed the guests and provided an overview of German-Taiwanese economic relations, reinforcing the strong business ties and opportunities between the two regions.   With NRW already home to over 100 Taiwanese companies, this event served as an excellent platform for networking, knowledge exchange, and new business opportunities.
