Melchers Celebrates Office Relocation in Taipei On March 24, we had the pleasure of joining the office relocation ceremony of our Business Alliance member Melchers, kindly hosted by Managing Director Tudor Pascu. The event was also attended by Mr. Dirk Saenger, Managing Partner at C. Melchers GmbH & Co. KG and Co-Chairman of the Taiwan-Germany Joint Business Council Meeting (JBC). With roots dating back to 1806 in Bremen and its first Asian branch opening in Hong Kong in 1866, Melchers has built a strong legacy in Asia. Their Taiwan office, established in 1971, has grown from importing goods to becoming a key player in the machinery sector. Today, Melchers continues to act as a bridge for global brands, delivering quality German products and services to the Taiwanese market. On March 27, we had the privilege of welcoming Mr. Uwe Cremering, CEO of iF International Forum Design GmbH, and Mr. Sean Lee, Managing Director of iF DESIGN ASIA Ltd., to our office. ✨ iF Design (iF International Forum Design GmbH) is a Hanover-based organization that provides various design-related services. Its branch office in Taiwan, iF DESIGN ASIA Ltd., was established in 2007. The organization is known worldwide for organizing the iF Design Award, which is one of the most important and prestigious design awards in the world. The award spans 9 disciplines: product design, packaging design, communication design, service design, interior design, architecture, professional concept, user experience (UX), and user interface (UI). With its fair, transparent jury process and global design experts, the award recognizes the most innovative and outstanding designs from around 11,000 entries each year. We appreciate Mr. Cremering’s visit to our office during his short stay in Taipei and the valuable insights shared about their work. Looking Back on an Inspiring Week with NRW.Global Business 🌏 As the NRW delegation’s journey in Taiwan comes to an end, we look back on a week full of insightful exchanges, inspiring meetings and promising connections. We were proud to support NRW.Global Business in organizing this exciting visit, which focused on fostering collaboration in media content and digital technologies between North Rhine-Westphalia and Taiwan. Throughout the program, the delegation engaged in site visits and high-level meetings with key players from Taiwan’s innovation and media landscape, including HTC, Taiwan Creative Content Agency (TAICCA), TVBS, TaiwanPlus and various government bodies such as MODA and NCC. The highlight of the week was the Business & Technology Forum, which brought together industry leaders and officials to discuss digital transformation, AI-driven content and future collaboration potential.
