  • Taiwan’s Economic Outlook: Key Insights from Fitch Solutions   The Fitch Solutions Taiwan Risk Report (Q2 2025) provides a comprehensive economic and political outlook, highlighting Taiwan’s resilience amid global uncertainty. While GDP growth has been revised to 3.3%, the semiconductor sector remains a key driver, despite risks from potential U.S. trade policies and slowing global demand.   The report also notes stable monetary policy, with the Central Bank expected to maintain interest rates at 2.00%, and a strong current account surplus of 14.1% of GDP. However, political challenges could slow economic reforms, and cross-strait tensions remain a key factor shaping Taiwan’s trade and investment landscape.   Despite these challenges, Taiwan’s economic fundamentals remain strong, reinforcing its position as a global tech and investment hub. The report underscores Taiwan’s long-term stability and opportunities for sustained economic growth.   Read a more detailed summary on our official website (link in the comments). Fitch Solutions   #PartnerInTaiwan #EconomicOutlook #TaiwanEconomy

  • ♻️ Advancing Sustainability with German Expertise: Our Visit to REMONDIS Taiwan   On March 12, our colleagues Dr. Eva Langerbeck and Levin Chiang together with Dr. Jürgen Maurer (GTAI) visited REMONDIS Taiwan’s plastic recycling plant in Fangyuan Township, Changhua County. With nearly 90 years of expertise, REMONDIS is a global leader in recycling and waste management, integrating German technology into Taiwan’s circular economy.   During the visit, we gained insights into REMONDIS' commitment to sustainability, from plastic recycling and solid recovered fuel (SRF) manufacturing to biogas facilities. Their NTD 1.8 billion plant is setting new standards in Taiwan, processing 50,000 tons of plastic waste annually and achieving nearly 90% automation to drive net-zero carbon emissions.   A big thank you to Philipp Moede, Director of Operations, Jim Tai, General Manager, Mary Yu, HR & Legal CAO and Hans Lin, CTO, for providing us with an in-depth look into REMONDIS’ efforts in transforming waste into valuable resources. We look forward to continued collaboration in promoting sustainable solutions!
